Established in 2008, the permaculture project at Sabina Boarding Primary School has already made a tangible difference in the lives of the students living there. (To read about what’s happening on the ground there now, log onto the project blog). However, to achieve food and water sovereignty, and become a fully operational permaculture demonstration site for the surrounding community – bringing this life-transforming knowledge to our children’s guardians and other small farmers - we need to put essential infrastructure in place. We’ve got ample human power to realise the designs, now we just require funds for materials. In this regard, any financial contribution that can be made to the project, will be greatly appreciated.
Community film-screenings, art exhibitions and dinners are all excellent fundraising events you may wish to hold in the lead-up to the course in your home community to raise money for the projects that you will be working on and amongst. We can provide you with a powerpoint presentation and photographs to screen/display at any fundraising activity. We can also forward a list of tools/materials/resources that the project requires to bring along with you.
While on-site, you’ll be able to document the project’s direct use of your donations, and report back to your donors upon returning home.
